What are qualities of the "Writer of the Month" article?
The qualities of "wrtier of the Month" are being an amazing writer, having the ability to captivate a reader within the first few sentences. Being able to surpass your fellow classmates. And having an idea, an idea of what your gonna write and an amazing idea on how your going to execute it. Matthew Mennucci has all of these.
The artical contais alot of direct dioulouge, and exaggeration. As in when the artical said "Garnered respect for his elders" and"55 articals".It also has alot of dioulouge from his friends and journalism couleges, but none from him.I guess you dont need a direct interview with the peson in order to write about a certain person. ( Like the Frank Sinatra article)
The qualities of "writer of the month" is a written informational article describing the accomplishments of a writer who has accelled in his field. In order to be writer of the month, one must be able to submit excellent pieces of work as well as have a good attitude towards the paper. Another quality that the writer of the month must possess is having pieces that they are proud of, along with having people to support your deserving of the award. Respect plays a huge part in winning a title.
The writer of the month is very talented, and truly wants to write the best work he can. Most important is that he is hardworking, and dertermined. He never gives up and is always producing high quality work. He also has good diction, which is key to keeping your reader from wondering off while reading the article.
I really enjoyed reading the "Writer of the Month" article because it was very funny. I think the best quality of it was the humor. It kept me and I'm sure everyone else who read this article entertained. Other qualities incldued very good writing skills like the language he used such as "accomplished this feat", "continues on his quest", and "garnered the respect of his elders". I think all of these phrases were well worded and made the article flow. Another quality of this piece, was how the writer incorperated other people's opinions. He included many quotes which made the article even more interesting. Overall, I think the article was a success for this writer.
To be a "writer of the month". you must be able to give out great detail in your stories without making it too long. You also must be able to realte to your readers, and find topics that are intresting.You also must have great determination, and be very patient.
I really enjoyed reading this article because Tom Carrol not only told us the details of Matt Menucci, but he also made it humorous which made me want to read mroe. From the first line of the article to the last line, I was laughing. To be a good writer you have to work hard, take responsibitly, and have an amazing interest. All of these things are classify not only Matthew Mecucci but Tom Carrol as well.
The qualities of the article itself are having quotes of people of their thoughts on the subject of the article, Matthew Mennucci. To be the writer of the month, words should captivate the audience, entertain, and possibly meaningful or memorable to the audience.
The qualities of the "Writer of the Month" article relate to how it was written. I think one of the best qualities of this article is that there is humor from the writers point of view. He makes jokes like '...No, in fact none of this is true.' and "Ok, so maybe he has not garnered the respect of all elders,.." to give the article more of a perspective from the writer's point of view. Another good quality is that the writer takes direct quotes from people who know Matthew Mennucci and work with him in the newspaper. This shows not just the writer's perspective, but some other people's perspectives on Matthew as well.
The qualities of writer of the month include having knowlege about being a good writer. Good writing articles doesn't have to be 5 paragraphs long, it can be a sentence and still interest the reader. Obviously this boy Matt Mennuci has had experiance in writing, because he was named the "writer of the month." He probably has worked hard to get to where he is and deserves to be named the writer of the month, because of the number of aritcles he has written.
What it takes to be the Writer of the Month is to have all the qualities and skills necessary to write news worthy pieces. These qualities include captivating and engaging the reader, keeping the reader interested, being productive, and working hard. In order to be the writer of the month, you also have to have a positive attitude and earn respect through your pieces. This piece had many of those qualities as well. It had an intriguing introduction that pulled the reader in, it kept the reader interested by the information and humor of the piece, and in order to write this, I'm sure one would of had to be productive and work hard.
The "Writer Of The Month" includes such things as dialogue, quotes and its main point is to talk about an outsanding writer, such as Matt Mennucci. According to the article, Mennucci has the "Ability to captivate the masses through his writing." Mennucci earned the spot in this article through hardwork and dedication.
This article has a lot of description and dialogue about Mstt Mennucci. It has quotes from Matts friends that explain how they feel about Matt. Some of it is exaggeration about Matt and I think this article best describes Matt as a writter.
I agree with Jess. Matt has a sense of humor so I feel that it's appropriate to have a humorous article based about him. Quotes and dialogue are also another way to support the decision to make Matt writer of the month, as well as solid evidence as to why he deserves it.
The "Writer Of The Month" took 2 years to reach. He really wanted to be wirter of the month and now he is. He wrote 55 artles, and he also wrote an article over night. I don't think I would be able to do that.
This article had a lot of details about Matt Mennucci. He wrote many articles and had plenty of friends behind him. All of his friends thought that he was a great writter and had unbeliveable potential. He has been working on a goal to become writter of the month which woould be a very big accomplishment forh him.
I really enjoyed this article. I think the qualities of writer of the month are being a good writer and being funny. Articles that are good have to be funny to keep the reader entertained. Also an article that is good have to have to have a good writer because if you dont have a good writer it is not interesting. As you can see Matthew Mennuci has all of these qualities, because he is very funny and a great writer.
I agree with Jessica, because good writing needs to have distinct vocabulary. As she said, words that make sense and tie in with the article make the article flow. It's important you use more intellectual words so your reader doesn't stop reading because of boredom.
I agree with Emily when she said that adding direct quotes from people and humor positively affected this piece. It adds more personality and allows the reader to understand how others feel about Matt Menucci, writer of the month. I feel as though the humor displayed throughout this piece truly engaged the reader and made them want to read more.

Clearly, Mennucci worked hard as Writer of the Month, as he needs to be a skilled and experienced writer. Mennucci wrote many articles to make his way to "Writer of the Month" Clearly he deserved writer of the Month.
In my opinion, the qualities of the "writer of the month" article include having determination and desire. Also you must be willing to work hard to be successful. In addition I feel that you should have a lot of previous experiece with wrtting. You should know some techiniqes to engaging the reader. I also think that qualities to be a "writer of the month" include having a diverse vocabulary as Kellyn and Jessica stated. To become a "writer of the month" includes dedication, hard work, eperience, and practice.
In my own opinion, i believe the 'Writer of the Month' must have perseverence, and the drive to be the best. They have to work to the best of their abilities. I agree with McKenzie, Kellyn, and Jessica, an extensive vocabulary is very important in being 'Writer of the Month'.
